Information for Travelers

We encourage all U.S. citizens resident in Macedonia to register with the U.S.  Embassy in Skopje.  Registration can help with renewing a lost or stolen passport, assist with notification in the event of an emergency, and provide a record of residency.  Registration is free.

U.S. citizens who travel or reside abroad can access the travel registration site at https://travelregistration.state.gov/ibrs to register for the first time or update their registration.  The site also provides with up-to-date travel information customized to the registrant’s travel agenda and itinerary.  The data provided is secured and can be accessed only by certain personnel in embassies, consulates, and the Department of State, and releasable only under the provisions of the Privacy Act.

U.S. citizens who wish to register with the Embassy may also apply in person or download the Registration Form for Americans in Macedonia and send it to the Consular Section by mail, fax, or email along with a copy of their U.S. passport.
